Shaping the path for renewable energy communities

The LocalRES Final Event will take place in Brussels, on the 21st and 22nd of April 2026. This milestone event will offer a unique opportunity to reflect on the progress made by Renewable Energy Communities (RECs) across Europe and discuss their future.

The event will bring together project partners, policymakers, local authorities, and practitioners to engage in two days of discussions and practical exchanges. Here’s the agenda for the second day of the event, which is open to a wider audience.

The event will provide practical and interactive sessions designed for municipalities, energy communities, and citizens. These sessions will explore how participants can implement and adapt REC models to their local contexts, drawing on the lessons learned from the pilot sites supported by LocalRES.

This gathering will not only celebrate the results of the project but also contribute to the creation of a European community of practice, ensuring that Renewable Energy Communities will continue to drive Europe’s energy transition.
