The LocalRES coordinators met the local demo team of Ispaster!

In March, part of the Ispaster’s demo team and the project coordinator, CARTIF Foundation, held a fruitful face-to-face meeting in the Basque village of Ispaster. Located in the north of Spain, the village of Ispaster is working hard for the creation of a Renewable Energy Community. The goal has been to know the existing system and work on the new demonstration actions and citizen engagement activities.

Actions and objectives of the LocalRES demo site of Ispaster

To encourage a socially fair energy transformation, the demo team of LocalRES will focus its efforts on the active involvement of citizens & local actors.

The project demonstration actions will take place near to municipal facilities, such as the town hall, the public school, a cultural center, a sports center, two restaurants, a senior center, a kindergarten and other public services, as well as the small services and industries in the area.
